Maybe your anxiety or depression has reached unmanageable levels, or you're sick of binge eating or chronic dieting and you want to change your relationship with food. Accomplishing goals we've never made progress in (or have made little progress in), may require doing things we've never done, and I can be here to support you as we figure out together what's not working, and work to develop a plan to overcoming those barriers.
I use evidence-based approaches and am trained in CBT, DBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, attuned eating, and taking a Health at Every Size approach. My approach is goal-oriented and integrative. I'll ask questions to understand your concerns, and what you'd like to achieve through working with a professional. Whether you’re looking for a shorter bout of therapy where we collaborate on a skill to practice outside of the session, and/or an action step to do, more supportive psychotherapy to explore bigger concerns, or a combination of both, I will talk with you about your goals.
I have experience working with adults with issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, confidence/self-esteem, body dissatisfaction, medical issues, trauma, and alcohol-related issues. My communication style tends to be direct, yet I aim to provide support, validation, and meeting the client where they are at, in their own journey. No problem is too small to talk to me about. Feel free to reach out to do a consult or begin the intake process.
